ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate cum Fast Track Court at Alandur to expedite the Trial in C.C.No.1 of 2014 and dispose of the same expeditiously.

2. The case of the complainant/petitioner is that he had given a sum of Rs.31,50,000/- to the respondent/accused for the purpose of construction of a farm house, roof garden and a glass room on the terrace at Pattanur Village. Subsequently, due to difference of opinion, the petitioner/complainant demanded refund of the said amount. Pursuant to which, the respondent/accused had executed four cheques, out of which, only one cheque for a sum of Rs.9,50,000/- was honoured. Thereafter, he issued a cheque for the balance sum of Rs.22,00,000/-. When the same was presented for collection, it was returned with an endorsement "funds insufficient".

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the entire materials available on record. 2/4

4. On perusal of the records, it is seen that Non Bailable warrant has been issued against the respondent/accused and the same is pending from the year 2022.

5. Since the case is pending from the year 2014, this court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate cum Fast Track Court, Alandur to expedite the trial of the case in C.C.No.1 of 2014 pending on his file and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
