This application is filed by the applicant seeking to extend the time for completion of arbitration proceedings for a period of six months.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on both sides.

3. Though the learned counsel appearing for the respondents filed a counter opposing for extension of time, the fact remains that they have already participated in the arbitral proceedings and the pleadings are also said to be complete. Hence, in the interest of justice, it would be appropriate to grant extension of time as prayed for.

4. Accordingly, time for completion of the arbitral proceedings and for passing the award is extended by six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the parties are directed to co-operate for completion of the proceedings and enable the tribunal to pass an award.
