The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.336 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 & 472 of IPC.

2. The defacto complainant, is an Advocate practising from 1981 and also an Advocate Notary.

3. It is stated that on 21.07.2023, the 1st accused, who is a Manager in a finance Company namely Annapoorna Finance Pvt. Ltd., at Tirupathur, had contacted the defacto complainant and asked about issuance of notary certificate in Rs.20/- Non-judicial Stamp Paper regarding no objection certificate. In the said stamp paper, the address seal portion was mentioned as Vellore.

4. It had been stated that the notary license had already expired in the year 2020. It is thus alleged that the petitioner and the other persons, who are 1 and 3 accused had forged the official notary seal of

the defacto complainant and had used it for their benefit.

5. On the side of the respondent, it had been stated that this petitioner and 3rd accused both are employees of said finance Company.

6. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the 1st accused, had only misused the notary seal and the petitioner herein was only an employee.

7. It is stated that his age is 20 years and had joined with the 1st accused only recently but however, the nature of the offence is extremely serious.

8. The seal of the notary gives authenticity to any document and if that document is to be fraud or even if the notary seal is to be affixed on a document, which should not be trusted, then it will be misleading the general public to a large extent and also causing damage to the reputation of the advocate notary.

9. In view of these facts, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed.
