The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b) and 118(1) of BNS, 2023, in Crime No.253 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. This petition is for anticipatory bail for the alleged offence under Sections 296(b) and 118(1) of BNS, 2023. The First Information Report reveals that the defacto complainant and the petitioner herein in a drunken mood had engaged in physical fight in the wine shop, in which, the defacto complainant had sustained severe injury on his eye. The FIR indicates that the CT Scan revealed fracture and the Doctor has suggested eye surgery. It is seen that the petitioner being a friend of Bharani came there and abused the petitioner in filthy language and assaulted him with cellphone.
