ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of conducting an enquiry in connection with the petitioner's previous cases.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an accused in two cases registered in Crime No.432 of 2021 on the file of the SIPCOT Police Station, Krishnagiri for the offences under Sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(A) of the NDPS Act and Crime No.693 of 2021 on the file of Hosur Police Station, Krishnagiri for the offences under Sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act; the grievance of the petitioner is that she is being harassed by the respondent police unnecessarily, despite no case is pending against her in respect of the second respondent Police Station.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that since the petitioner is a named accused in some of the Narcotic offences, she

might be needed for making some enquiry; so far as the second respondent is concerned, no case is pending against her; hence her appearance is not needed as of now before the second respondent.

5. In view of the above submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Criminal Original Petition is disposed. 09.11.2022 Index: Yes/No Internet: Yes/No gsk
