The learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondent would submit that the matter has been compromised between them and that they have also filed a compounding petition. The cheque amount is Rs.1,00,000/- [Rupees one lakh only]. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in consonance with the decision of the Apex Court reported in 2010 5 SCC 663 (Damodar S.Prabhu Vs. Sayed Babalal H.) the petitioner is prepared to pay 15% of the cheque amount to the Tamil Nadu State Legal Service Authority attached to this Court.

The petitioner is directed to take a demand draft for Rs.15,000/- in the name of the Registrar General, High Court, Madras who inturn shall transfer it to the credit of the Tamil Nadu Legal State Service Authority. 3.
