Common Judgment (Judgment of the Court was delivered by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The parties have successfully settled the issues and had entered into Settlement Agreement before the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre. The Settlement Agreement dated 30.03.2026 entered into between the parties is extracted hereunder.

TERMS It is agreed that the total compensation payable to all the 6 workmen together shall not be more than Rs.21 Lakhs. It is agreed that the following workmen will be paid a monetary compensation as indicated under:

1. D.Sekar - Rs.3,55,000/-

2. D.Palanisamy - Rs.3,50,000/- - Rs.3,50,000/- - Rs.3,45,000/-

5. R.Marudamuthu -Rs.3,50,000/-

6. S.Ilangovan -Rs.3,50,000/- Total -Rs.21,00,000/- *.Out of the 6 workmen, Ilangovan and Palanisamy who were in occupation of quarters should vacate the quarters and then only they will be entitled to receive the amount indicated against their names.

* As far as the claim of the deceased Muniamma, W/o.Palanisamy, the amount payable to the deceased Muniamma shall be paid to Palanisamy and on such payment, he will vacate the quarters. After vacating the quarters, he will be entitled to receive the amount indicated against his name.

* It is further agreed that no workman concerned in the instant litigation will be entitled to receive any further amount either statutorily or contractually, including Gratuity. * The management, subject to the eligible employees submitting the relevant forms/applications prescribed by the Employees. Provident Fund Organisation, agree to provide all possible assistance to enable them to withdraw the money due from the EPFO in respect of their EPF contribution or pension.

* The parties further agrees that both the EPF and Pension will be considered from their date of joining to their date of termination. * Both parties plead that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to dispose of the Writ Appeals on the basis of the above Memorandum of Settlement.

The terms of this full and final settlement are read out and explained to the concerned parties by their respective counsels and the mediator.

2. In view of the above Settlement, the Writ Appeals stand disposed of. The Settlement Agreement dated 30.03.2026 shall form part of the record. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. (S.M.S.,J.) (C.K.,J.) 17-04-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order vsi
