Crl.M.P.No.17033 of 2022 Crl.M.P.No.17033 of 2022 in Crl.OP.No.24564 of 2022 A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J., This petition has been filed to modify the condition imposed on the petitioners by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.24564 of 2022 dated 11.10.2022 that the petitioners shall deposit a sum of Rs.1,40,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Forty Thousand Only) each as a non-refundable deposit to the credit of District Revenue Officer, Tiruppur District.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners were arrested in Crime No.184 of 2022 and on application for bail in Crl.O.P.No.24564 of 2022, they were granted bail by this Court on 11.10.2022 with a condition to deposit a sum of Rs.1,40,000/- each by way of Demand Draft/RTGS/NEFT to the credit of the District Revenue Officer, Tiruppur District. He would further submit that the petitioners are respectively driver and cleaner of the lorry and they were not the owner of the alleged contraband and due to paucity of funds, they were unable to deposit the said amount as directed by this Court. Later they were released on statutory bail. However, the petitioners without prejudice are ready and willing to deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- each to the credit of the District Revenue Officer, Tiruppur District and thereby, he seeks for modification of the condition.

4.In view of the above submissions made, the condition imposed on the petitioners in para 9 in Crl.O.P.No.24564 of 2022 by order dated 11.10.2022, https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

Crl.M.P.No.17033 of 2022 A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J., is modified to the effect that the petitioners shall deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand Only) each as non-refundable deposit by way of Demand Draft/RTGS/NEFT to the credit of "The District Revenue Officer, Tiruppur District" and comply with the other conditions within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above directions, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered.
