ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to re-assess the property tax for the petitioner's hotel situated at No.1, GST Road, Sai Sri Vari Nagar, Singa Perumal Kovil, Chengalpet Taluk, Kancheepuram District based on the representation dated 12.10.2015.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of representation dated 12.10.2015, the respondent has not considered the same yet.

Mr.P.Srinivas, learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent has no objection for considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.10.2015 and passing orders in accordance with law.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.10.2015 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, by affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner if necessary, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
