ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application, dated 20.8.2015 within a stipulated period.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is an agriculturist and his brothers, namely, Umapathy and Arumugham damaged the water channel adjacent to his land and also encroached the water channel for their own use. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the local officers are hand in glove with the petitioner's brothers. In order to take action against the local officers, the petitioner needs certain details from the respondents, and therefore, he made representations, dated 20.08.2015, 25.09.2015 and 13.11.2015 to the respective respondents seeking various details and also paid necessary fees. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Since no action was taken, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for the above relief.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate, who took notice for the respondents.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer made in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this Court directs the petitioner to give a fresh representation to the first respondent, along with a copy of this order, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and necessary parties and dispose of the said representation, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter.

5. With the above observations and directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
