Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to settle the terminal benefits of Rs.2,76,186/- along with interest at the rate of 8.5% p.a. from the date of due till its payment.

ORDER

The petitioner who was appointed as Secretary in the second respondent society permitted to retire from service on 18.10.2004 by proceedings dated 18.10.2004, but his grievance is that even after he was permitted to retire from service, till date his terminal benefits have not been settled and therefore, he has given several representations. Till date, the representations have also not been disposed for. 2.

This Court considering the limited prayer sought for, directs the second respondent to consider the pending representations of the petitioner, after affording reasonable opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner if necessary, and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on merits and in accordance with law.

The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
