Notional promotion to the post of Special Sub-Inspector of Police is the claim made by the writ petitioner in his representation dated 04.03.2015 to the first respondent. 2.Learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the Government issued orders granting time bound promotion on completion of 10 years and 25 years services. However, the benefit of time bound promotion was not extended to the writ petitioner in time in accordance with the Government orders passed in this regard. further states that the cases of similar nature were considered by the respondents. As the writ petitioner is also eligible for such notional promotion in this regard, he made a representation to the first respondent on 04.03.2015 and the representation is pending consideration.

3.Thus, without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 04.03.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
