The plaintiff is the revision petitioner who seeks expeditious disposal of the suit for permanent injunction in O.S.No.5524 of 2022 pending on the file of the XVII Assistant City Civil Court, Chennai.

2. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, notice to the respondent is dispensed with.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the suit in O.S.No.5524 of 2022 has been filed by the petitioner charitable trust represented by its Managing Trustee, who is a senior citizen. Learned counsel further submits that, though the trial has commenced even in September 2023 and P.W.1 has also been cross-examined much later in July 2024, till date, the said suit has not been disposed of.

4. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and I have also perused the materials placed on record.

5. Considering that the suit is of the year 2022 and also considering Page No.2 of 4

that the trial has already commenced, this Court directs the XVII Assistant City Civil Court, Chennai to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible and dispose of the suit in O.S.No.5524 of 2022 finally, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 31.01.2026, after hearing the parties.

6. Accordingly, this Civil revision petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs. 25.08.2025 skt Index : Yes / No Speaking order : Yes / No NCC : Yes / No To The XVII Assistant City Civil Court, Chennai.
