The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition for a mandamus, directing the respondents to handover the following original documents to her:

(a)Secondary School Examination Certificate (b)Higher Secondary Course Certificate (c)Transfer Certificate

2. The case of the petitioner is that she applied for B.D.S at Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital, Chennai https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and got admission for the academic year 2013-2014 and joined the course on 05.08.2013. At that time, she submitted the originals of her Secondary School Examination Certificate, Higher Secondary Course Certificate and transfer certificate to the respondents. She also paid the course fee on time and there is no arrear on her part. After two years, due to personal and financial reasons, she is not in a position to continue her course and decided to discontinue her course and also left the institution on 17.06.2015, after intimating the same to the respondents. Thereafter, she made a request to the first respondent to return her original certificates handed over at the time of admission. Inspite of several attempts made by her, the first respondent did not return back the original certificates sought for by the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition for the above stated relief.

When the matter came up for consideration, learned standing counsel for the respondents across the bar handed over the Higher Secondary Course Certificate and Transfer Certificate to the learned counsel for the petitioner, who also acknowledged the receipt of the same. Insofar as the Secondary School Examination Certificate is concerned, the learned standing counsel produced a copy of the Check list signed by the petitioner as well as by the college authority with regard to the documents produced by the petitioner at the time of admission, in which, SSLC certificate did not find place and the same would disclose that the petitioner did not hand over the SSLC certificate at the time of admission.

4. In view of the above, since two certificates available with the respondent Institution have been handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioner, who in turn has also acknowledged the receipt of the same, there is no need to issue a specific direction to the respondents.
