ORDER

Today [28.06.2023], the Inspector of Police, Perambur Police Station, Mayiladuthurai District filed a status report, from which it is seen that the Tahsildar had initiated the proceedings and a Peace Committee Meeting was held on 28.10.2022 and time was given to Manjula and others [Party 'B'] to file the documents in support of their contention, but they failed to do so and again on 14.12.2022 they sought time. It is further submitted that till 22.06.2023 they have not produced any document. It is also submitted that once the final order is passed by the Tahsildar, Kuthalam, necessary action will be initiated.

2.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner belong to Party 'A' and on the pretext of producing document Party 'B' were seeking adjournment, but so far they have not produced any document. He further submitted that the Tahsildar, Kuthalam is not conducted enquiry effectively and the Inspector of Police, Perambur Police Station, Maylidathurai District is also not taking any action for the reason the report of the Tahsildar is not yet received. 2/4

3.Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent.

4.In view of the above submission, this Court directs the Tahsildar, Kuthulam to conclude the enquiry and give a report within a period of thirty days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the Inspector of Police, Perambur Police Station, Mayiladuthurai District on receipt of the report from the Tahsildar, Kuthalam to act on the same unless there is any other order from the Competent Court. 5.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
