ORDER
(Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.) This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to produce her husband Palanisamy, aged about 38 years, S/o.Thangaraj, before this Court and set him at liberty. 2.
It is the case of the petitioner that her husband left home on 08.10.2022 and did not return; hence, she gave a complaint to the police and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure him. 3.
Today, R.Murali (Mobile No.94981 06526), Inspector of Police, Kaveripattinam Police Station, Krishnagiri District, is present. 4.
On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Kaveripattinam Police Station Crime No.413 of 2022 was registered on
13.10.2022 for "man-missing" and during the course of investigation, it came to light that a case in Sathuvacheri Police Station Crime No.244 of 2022 has been registered on 09.10.2022 for the offences under Section 279 and 304-A IPC, in connection with a motor accident; further, the investigation revealed that the person, who had died in the motor accident was the husband of the petitioner; accordingly, the petitioner was informed about the same and the petitioner also identified the apparel of her deceased husband.

In such view of the matter, we direct the Inspector of Police, Sathuvacheri Police Station, as well the Inspector of Police, Kaveripattinam Police Station, to work in cooperation and ensure that the petitioner gets the death certificate of her husband from the authorities concerned, expeditiously. If there is any delay, the petitioner may approach the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Vellore, for assistance and the DLSA, Vellore, is directed to render necessary assistance to the petitioner for getting the death certificate of her husband. With the above directions, this habeas corpus petition stands closed.
