By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present Writ Petition is filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to release the Power of Attorney which is kept pending as Document No.P167/ 2024 dated 08.10.2024 on the file of the sub Registrar office, Cheyyur based on the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2025 and 05.05.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that a General Power of Attorney was executed in favour of the petitioner by one Selvaraj Chettiyar vide Doc.No.406/2006 dated 11.09.2006 on the file of the 3 rd respondent, in respect of the Property comprised in S.Nos.84/3, 84/1, 86/11, 84/2, 83/5, 84/6, 84/5, 83/1, 83/2B, 83/3, 83/6 measuring an extent of 4 acre and 4 1⁄2 cents. Subsequently, the said property was sold to the Orlanda Estates Pvt Ltd vide Doc.No.663/2001 dated 05.02.2007 for a sale consideration of
Rs.42,47,250/- through the General Power of Attorney. However, while executing the power of attorney in favour of the petitioner, one of the survey numbers was wrongly mentioned as 83/6 instead of 83/4A, measuring an extent of 57 cents. However, when the Power of Attorney with respect to Survey No.83/4A was presented for registration before the 3 rd respondent, the petitioner was informed that objections had been received with respect to the registration of the said document/Power of Attorney vide survey No.83/4A. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 09.01.2025 to the 2 nd respondent for releasing Doc.No.P.167/2024 dated 08.10.2014. Since there was no response, he made another representation dated 05.05.2025 to the 1 st respondent, however, the same was not considered by the respondents till date. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4. When this was pointed out, Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that, they would consider the representation and register the document / power of attorney, if it is otherwise in order, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation and register the document/ power of attorney, if it is otherwise in order, within a period of two weeks from today, after issuing notice and affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all other interested parties including rival claimants if any. If for any reason the registration of document / power of attorney is sought to be rejected, the respondents would do so after issuing refusal slip assigning reasons. It is made clear that, this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
