This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to grant a free agricultural electricity service connection to the bore well of petitioner's agricultural land comprised in Survey Number 494/4, situated at Pudhupalayam Village, Avainshi Taluk, Tiruppur District by considering his application dated 22.01.2015.
2. When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent by relying on the counter affidavit of the 3rd respondent submits that the petitioner has not filed any application for agriculture service connection in the year 2015 and the application was submitted by the writ petitioner only on 10.02.2022 under normal category. 2/5
It is further stated in the counter affidavit, the free agricultural service connection in the normal category are granted as per the Government Order issued then and there, releasing certain numbers of agricultural service connections. It is also stated that agricultural service connection applications registered till 31.03.2013 were released by the respondents and the petitioner's application dated 10.02.2022 could be considered under the normal category under seniority basis. The said statement made by the 3rd respondent in his counter is recorded. The 3rd respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner as per seniority in accordance with law. No costs.
