C O M M O N O R D E R These contempt petitions are filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 13.10.2022 made in W.P.Nos.27031 and 27034 of 2022 respectively.

2.Pursuant to the statutory notice ordered on 24.11.2023 in Cont.P.No.2476 of 2023, the respondent/ contemnor, appeared before this Court today (01.12.2023). The further appearance of the respondent/ contemnor is dispensed with.

3.The petitioners filed W.P.Nos.27031 and 27034 of 2022 respectively, challenging the order dated 05.08.2022 passed by the respondent and this Court vide order dated 13.10.2022 made in W.P.Nos.27031 and 27034 of 2022 respectively, set aside the order dated 05.08.2022 and issued direction to the respondent to refer the matter to the competent civil Court in terms of Section 20 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act for deciding the title for apportionment of compensation, within a time frame. Since the said order was not complied with, the petitioners have filed these contempt petitions. 2/4

4.The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent submitted that in compliance of the order of this Court, The Special District Revenue Officer (L.A.), Chennai - Kanyakumari Industrial Road Scheme, Kanchipuram, referred the matter to the competent civil Court.

5.In view of the above, there is no willful disobedience and these Contempt Petitions are closed.
