ORDER

The prayer sought for in the present Criminal Original Petition is to call for the records in Crime No.79/2019 on the file of the first respondent and quash the same. 2.Though several grounds have been raised in the petition seeking to quash the FIR, this Court is of the view that since offence is heinous in nature, it would not be appropriate to interfere with the investigation. Even otherwise, the grounds raised are factual in nature, which is subject matter of the investigation. Nevertheless, since, the FIR is pending from 20.02.2019 onwards and more than 9 months have lapsed, it would be appropriate to direct the respondent/Police to complete the investigation within a stipulated time.

3.In the light of the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed with a direction to the respondent/Police to complete the investigation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this Order. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
