ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider his claim for appointment as Multipurpose Hospital Workers in the Selection Proceedings for the year 2015-16, pursuant to the Notification dated 21.1.2016 of the respondent and appoint him as such.

2. Mr.M.Ravi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submitted that the petitioner has given a representation dated 28.01.2016, however, the respondent has not considered the same yet.

3. Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent and submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.01.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a stipulated time.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.01.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
