The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 10.10.2017, seeking to close the Public Provident Fund Account No.95973/GA and effect the payments due to the petitioner together with interest..
2. In this regard, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted the copy of the Government letter issued vide Letter No.967/Special-B/2019-1, dated 27.09.2021 stating that the copy of the Application Form for final closure of General Provident Fund (GPF) to be filled in by the petitioner for onward transmission to the Office of the Accountant General, Chennai-18. 2/4
3. Accordingly, the petitioner has to comply with the abovesaid condition and in the event of submitting the application in an appropriate format, the same may be forwarded to the Office of the Accountant General, Chennai-18 for all necessary actions.
4. With the abvoesaid observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. 22-11-2022 Index : Yes/No.
