O R D E R

One Devika lodged a complaint against the accused persons, including a public servant.

2. Though Crime No.19 of 2021 was registered on 12.07.2021, no further action was taken. Hence, the petitioner filed Crl.O.P.No.9366 of 2024 seeking completion of the trial within the stipulated period.

3. By an order dated 15.07.2024, this Court directed the first respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months. Thereafter, the respondent filed a Criminal Miscellaneous Petition in Crl.M.P.No.18250 of 2024 seeking an extension of six months. By an order dated 21.12.2024, this Court granted six months' time.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl. Side) has now filed Crl.M.P.No.15903 of 2025 seeking a further extension of six months. He further submitted that the case was registered against three persons. A2 had filed an anticipatory bail application before this Court in Crl.O.P.No.19115 of 2021, dated 29.10.2021, and this Court directed the respondent to include the de-facto complainant in a bribery case, namely A4 and A5, who are also accused in this case. Thereafter, the investigation was 2/4

completed, the charge sheet was prepared, and it has now been sent for sanction under Section 19 of the P.C. Act. Immediately upon receipt of sanction, the charge sheet will be filed before the appropriate Court.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondent to file the final report/charge sheet before the trial Court within two months from the date of receipt of sanction for prosecution. It is made clear that, in any event, the entire process shall be completed within a period of six months. No further extension of time will be granted.
