PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent police to alter the offences 147, 452, 324 and to include under Section 307 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 in Crime No.934 of 2019 is pending on the file of respondent police.

The prayer sought for in the present petition is to direct the respondent police to alter the offences 147, 452, 324 and to include Section 307 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 in Crime No.934 of 2019.

2. Though the prayer in the present petition is to alter the offences by including Section 307 of IPC, in my view, such an alteration could depend on the investigation to be conducted and based on the materials collected. However, if the respondent is directed to complete the investigation, the ends of justice could be secured. 3.In the light of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the respondent herein, to complete the investigation in Crime No.934 of 2019, as expeditiously as possible.
