Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 19.01.2015 seeking peaceful retirement and other consequential settlement of service benefits including pension and other pensionary benefits.

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.01.2015 seeking peaceful retirement and other consequential settlement of service benefits including pension and other pensionary benefits.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has produced a letter dated 03.05.2016 issued by the first respondent addressed to the second respondent wherein it has been clearly stated that there is no proceedings pending as against the petitioner and he is permitted to relieve from service and also eligible for retirement benefits. 3.In view of the above order, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.
