Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus or any other writ or direction to call for the records relating on the file of the 2nd respondent in Notification No.1/2015 published in Dina Thanthi, dated 28.12.2015 and quash the same as illegal, incompetent and without jurisdiction and further direct the respondents to implement Section 22(1) of The Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 2014 while filling up the post of Assistant Engineer in TANGEDCO/TANTRANCO.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to call for the records on the file of the second respondent in Notification No.1/2015, published in Dina Thanthi, dated

28.12.2015, and quash the same as illegal, incompetent and without jurisdiction and further direct the respondents to implement Section 22(1) of the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 2014, while filling up the post of Assistant Engineer in TANGEDCO/TANTRANCO.

2.In respect of the very same prayer sought for in the batch of writ petitions, this Court has passed an order in W.P.Nos.5411,1510 of 2016 etc.batch on 25.01.2017 is extracted hereunder:

"27.Thus, for all the above reasons, the petitioners have not made out a case for grant of the relief sought for and accordingly, all the Writ Petitions are dismissed. During the pendency of these Writ Petitions, this Court passed an interim order on 26.07.2016, by which TANGEDCO was permitted to declare the results of all the candidates who appeared for the written examination, but, TANGEDCO shall not proceed further with the selection process and confine themselves only for publication of results and await final orders in the Writ Petitions. As all the Writ Petitions filed by the apprentices have been dismissed, TANGEDCO, is permitted to proceed further with the recruitment process based on the results in the written examination. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed."

3.In such view of the matter, no further adjudication on merits needs to be undertaken on the grounds raised in this writ petition, since, the matter was elaborately adjudicated and decided in the above batch of writ petitions by this Court. 4.Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. There is no order as to costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also dismissed.
