ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated 17.07.2025 whereby request was made for transfer of patta in respect of the land comprised in Survey No.621/1 measuring an extent of Acre 1.29 cents and Survey No.624/2 measuring an extent of Acre 2.52 cents situated at Chinnavedampatti Village.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the subject property devolved on the petitioner by way of a partition deed dated 09.06.2006 vide document No.4218/2006 on the file of SRO Gandhipuram, based on which, patta was issued in favour of the petitioner. Subsequently, the said land came to be transferred in the name of Bhommi Dhana Board, claiming it to be the land belonging to said Board. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner submitted a 2/6
representation dated 17.07.2025 to the respondents seeking transfer of patta. However, no action has been taken on the same till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

At the outset, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the subject property is apparently a Boomi Dhana land thus the petitioner's representation for transfer of patta cannot be sustained. In any view, he would submit that the petitioner's representation would be considered within a time frame to be fixed by this Court which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the same, taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the concerned respondent, to consider the representation dated 17.07.2025 made by the petitioner on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties/rival claimants, within a period of Sixteen (16) weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the 3/6
representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.
