PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the fourth respondent to dispose of the petition dated 2.2.2015 submitted by the petitioners within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

Mr.Fakkir Mohideen, learned counsel takes notice for respondents 1 to 3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. At this stage of the matter, this Court is not inclined to issue any positive direction to the fourth respondent to dispose of the said petition. However, the fourth respondent, being the Labour Officer functioning under the provisions of Labour Welfare Legislation, is bound to pass orders within a reasonable time.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioners to pursue the petition dated 2.2.2015 before the fourth respondent, which shall be considered and disposed of on merits as expeditiously as possible.
