The petitioner/A2 seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.559 of 2023 registered under Sections 7, 20(ii) Cigarette & Other Tobacco Product Act, 2003 r/2 Section 273, 328 of IPC.

2.It is stated that the petitioner is the owner of Maruthi Swift Car bearing Registration No.TN-07-BU-4775 parked in the road side. When it was checked, the respondent found 20.700 Kilo grams of banned Tobacco products were totally Rs.22,287-. It is the case of the prosecution that the petitioner is not only the owner of the Car but also the owner of the contraband.
