O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to pass orders pursuant to the order passed by the first respondent dated 12.02.2025 remanding the matter to the file of the second respondent.

2. Heard Mr.A.R.Suresh, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.R.Murthi, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 3.

3. The petitioner submitted an application seeking for cancellation of the legal heirship certificate and for issuance of a fresh legal heirship certificate in the name of Adhilakshmi by including the 2/4

names of the legal heirs. The same was rejected and pursuant to the same, an appeal was filed before the first respondent against the rejection order dated 23.02.2024. After conducting enquiry, the first respondent, through order dated 12.02.2025, remanded the matter back to the file of the second respondent to conduct an enquiry and to pass orders. The grievance of the petitioner is that the same was not acted upon and the representations made by the petitioner in this regard also did not evoke any response. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if no orders have been passed till date. Before passing final orders, the interested parties shall be heard. The decision shall be communicated to the petitioner. N.ANAND VENKATESH, J 3/4
