ORDER

The writ petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to make proper public notification for the public auction to lease out the temple property situated in SF.No.761 & 783/2 of Punjai, Thalayur Village, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur district belongs to Arulmigu Periyanayagi Amman Temple and to conduct the auction in a fair manner as per the provisions of the Act based on the petitioner representation dated 30.08.2024.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner went to participate in the auction on 27.08.2024 in the second respondent's office and the same was cancelled without any prior notification. Hence the petitioner made a representation on 30.08.2024 in person to the respondent requesting to make proper public notification for the public auction to lease out the temple property situated in SF.No.761 & 783/2 of of Punjai, Thalayur Village, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur district belongs to Arulmigu Periyanayagi Amman Temple and to conduct the auction in a fair manner as per the provisions of the Act.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government counsel for the respondents submitted that initially, the public auction was cancelled on 27.08.2024 for administrative reasons. Subsequently, the public auction has been fixed on 21.10.2024.

4. Recording the said submission made by the learned Government counsel for the respondents, the writ petition stands closed. No costs. 04.10.2024 rli To:
