Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to dispose the petitioner representation dated 23.07.2025 within a reasonable period as may be fixed by this Hon'ble court. O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- "directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 23.07.2025 within a reasonable period as may be fixed by this Hon'ble court."

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was initially appointed as a Drawing Teacher on 21.07.2000 and is currently serving as a PG Assistant in Tamil at SRI A.B.Parekh Gujarati Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, No. 19, Ekambareswar Agraharam, Chennai-600003. 2/5

3. The main grievance of the petitioner is that, though a vacancy for the post of Headmaster has existed in the school since 01.05.2025 and the petitioner is eligible for the said post as per the prevailing norms, he has not been considered for the said post. Therefore, he had submitted a detailed representation to the respondents on 23.07.2025. However, the same has not been considered to date. Hence the Writ Petition.

4. Heard the counsels on either side.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the respondents, who are duty-bound to dispose of the statutory representation, have failed to discharge their obligation, the Writ Petition is allowed and a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.07.2025 and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
