ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned XXV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore to complete the trial in S.T.C.No.9915 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible preferably within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he has filed a complainant against the respondent herein under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act in STC No.9915 of 2022 before the learned XXV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore and that the respondent is not co-operating for the trial and dragging the proceedings. Hence, the present petition is filed.

3. The learned counsel for the respondent submitted that the respondent had filed a petition to quash the complaint. But the same was dismissed and now the respondent is ready to co-operate for trial.

4. In view of the submissions made by both the counsel, the learned XXV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore is directed to complete the enquiry/trial 2/4

as the case may be and dispose of the case in STC No.9915 of 2022 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and it is made clear that no extension of time will be entertained.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
