Respondents (Respondent No.6 suo motu impleaded as per the order dt. 18.2.2016 by CJ & MMSJ) Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st, 2nd and 3rd respondents to take necessary action on petitioner representation dt. 07.08.2014 to save said government land at Thulasingapuram village in Survey No.94 to rebuilt the new building for Adi Dravida Community Welfare and take necessary action on encroachers 4th and 5th respondents.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The learned Government Pleader has obtained instruction that the Government library building is in a dilapidated condition and not in use and that the land vests with the Nandambakkam Town Panchayat. He has further instruction that the owner of the adjacent land has encroached upon the land of the Nandambakkam Town Panchayat.
2. In view of the aforesaid, we implead the Commissioner, Nandambakkam Town Panchayat, Nandambakkam, Chennai-600 089 as respondent No.6. Memo of parties be amended accordingly.
3. The learned Government Pleader appears for the newly impleaded respondent No.6.
4. In view of the aforesaid position being verified as to the encroachment made by some private parties on the land of the Panchayat, the Tahsildar should ensure appropriate action in accordance with law with notice to all concerned to remove the encroachments, if any, on the land of the Nandambakkam Town Panchayat. The process be completed within a maximum period of two months from the date of receipt of this order.
5. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs.
