It is represented that order which is the subject matter of contempt, has been complied with vide G.O.(1D)No.271, Schools and Education Department dated 24.04.2017.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that he is entitled to 18% interest on the belated payment. However, it is to be pointed out at this juncture that this Court merely directed the concerned officials to dispose of the representation and it has been given disposal in a proper manner. Therefore, the contempt petition is closed. If the petitioner is so advised, he is at liberty to challenge the said Government Order, in accordance with law before the Competent Forum.
