ORDER

The petitioner is the wife of the respondent has approached VII Additional Family Court, Chennai seeking Maintenance in MC No.137 of 2021 is pending till date. The grievance of the petitioner is that inspite of pendency of the Maintenance Case for the past two years, the respondent not appearing and not inclined to pay even interim maintenance. Therefore, seeks for direction to dispose MC. No.137 of 2021 as expeditiously as possible. Page No.1/3

2. The E-Court proceedings indicates that for one reason or another, case getting adjourned. On 28.04.2023, the petition has been filed to represent the father of the petitioner as her Power of Attorney, the said petition was allowed and now she is represented by her father.

3. In the light of the above facts and circumstances, the learned VII Additional Family Court Judge, is directed to take expedite the trial and dispose it of as early as possible, considering the plight of the petitioner who seeks maintenance. If any non cooperation on the part of the respondent in completing the trial is noticed, it is open to the Family Court Judge to take necessary steps for compliance.
