O R D E R
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to consider his representation dated 07.06.2023 seeking cancellation of the patta issued in the name of the respondents 2 & 3 in respect of the Survey No.61/5 of Valasaravakkam Village, Maduravoyal Taluk, Chennai District.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that his father purchased 1200 sq.ft of land in Old S.No.61/2 situated at Valasaravakkam Village under a registered sale deed dated 29.05.1985. After purchase, the property was subdivided and the petitioner's father was issued with Patta No.6131 for New Subdivision No.61/5 with an extent of 1 ares. The patta was also transferred in his favour by the jurisdictional Thasildar by the order dated 04.03.2011. 2/5

Recently, the petitioner acquired knowledge that the respondents 2 & 3 by producing invalid documents got their names included in the revenue records and obtained patta for the petitioner's property in Patta No.6131. It is specific case of the petitioner that the respondents 2 & 3 purchased the property only in S.No.61/1. However, they got patta for the petitioner's property in S.No.61/5. Therefore, a representation has been made before the first respondent seeking cancellation of the patta issued in the name of the respondents 2 & 3 on 07.06.2023 and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Mr.Arasakumar, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the first respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.
5. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.06.2023 3/5
and pass final order, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing necessary notice to the petitioner and the respondents 2 & 3.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
