PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the respondent police to grant permission to conduct gate meeting for election campaign Ashok Leyland pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2019.

O R D E R

The prayer sought for in the present petition seeking for a direction to the respondent police to grant permission to conduct the meeting for election campaign cannot be granted, since the permission for police protection depends on various factors including the objections that may be raised by the Management or the rival candidates.

2.Nevertheless, if the petitioner's representation given to the respondent police on this behalf is directed to be considered, after giving an opportunity to the parties, the ends of justice would be secured.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that they have already given representation to the respondent on 04.10.2019, which is still pending.

4.In the light of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation dated 04.10.2019 on its own merits and take appropriate action in accordance with law, after giving prior opportunity to the management as well as to anyother persons who may have objections to such proposal to conduct election campaign. The respondent police shall endeavor to take such decision atleast before 07.10.2019.

5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
