PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.8.2015 within a reasonable period as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
Mr.Lakshmi Narayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.(2)
2. The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 19.8.2015. In the said representation, the petitioner sought compensation for the lands, which were acquired from the petitioner. The petitioner would state that he is the absolute owner of the land in question and therefore, he is entitled to compensation. In support of his contentions, the petitioner has enclosed a copy of the sale deed dated 23.7.1994 registered as doc.No.2216 of 1974 on the file of the second respondent.

3. Taking into consideration the limited scope of the relief sought, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.8.2015 on merits and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
