ORDER

The petitioner, Mr.A.Prabakaran has filed an appeal on 14.1.2015 against the order passed by the Additional Chief Secretary/Commissioner of Revenue Administration in proceedings No.O.P.I(1)/23160/2014 dated 17.10.2014 before the Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Chennai. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the said appeal has been given reference No.Service 5/2244. Since the said appeal has not been till date disposed of on merits, he has come to this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

This Court, considering the pendency of the appeal, hereby directs the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 14.1.2015 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, W.M.P.No.5301 of 2016 is closed. No costs.
