Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to consider and pass an order on the representation made by the petitioner dated 12.02.2018, 09.10.2018 and 01.09.2020 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to consider his 1/4

representation dated 01.09.2020 seeking rectification in the UDR records.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondent, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he owns 95 cents of land in Survey No.280/2B situated in Vayalanallur B Village, Poonamallee Taluk, Thiruvallur District under two registered sale deeds dated 20.07.1979 and 30.05.1984. In the 'A' register, the above mentioned property is referred as 'Rayathwari Punjai'. However, at the time of updation of the UDR scheme, it was wrongly classified as 'Anadheenam'. Therefore, the petitioner submitted various representations seeking re-classification of the said land. The last of the petitioner's representation was dated 01.09.2020 and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed. 2/4

In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.09.2020 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to all interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
