Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 07.01.2016 made by the petitioner for grant of promotion to the petitioner to the post of Block Medical Officer, Elavanasur Kottai, Kallakurichi Health Unit District, Villupuram District within a stipulated time period as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

The petitioner, Dr.K.Thenmozhi, who was engaged as Medical Consultant on contract basis in the Government Primary Health Centre, Alangudi, was absorbed in the Tamil Nadu Medical Service as Assistant Surgeon with effect from 1.11.2006 and she is presently working in the Primary Health Centre, Kiliyur, Kallakurichi Health Unit District. Now the grievance of the petitioner is that she has given representations dated 7.1.2016 and 5.2.2016 to the first respondent mentioning that her junior Mr.G.Vetrivel Murugan, who joined the service on 14.9.2011 in the post of Assistant Surgeon and working in the Primary Health Centre, Manimuthar Dam, has been posted as the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Block Medical Officer in Ulundurpettai at Elavanasur Kottai, Kallakurichi Health Unit District, without considering her for the said post. Since the said representations have not been considered, she has come to this Court seeking for disposal of her representations.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. Considering the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going to the merits of the matter, this Court hereby directs the first respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 7.1.2016 and 5.2.2016 on merit and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
