Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India 1/6
praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to appoint the Petitioner on compassionate grounds of Petitioners father Chelladurai (aged 54/2020), S/o. Muthukannu employed as a Salesman Staff from 01/01/1997, granted a time scale of pay, and died in illness on 07/06/2020,based on the representation submitted by the Petitioner dated 22.02.2023 and 04.07.2025.

O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- "directing the Respondents to appoint the Petitioner on compassionate grounds of Petitioners father Chelladurai (aged 54/2020), S/o. Muthukannu employed as a Salesman Staff from 01/01/1997, granted a time scale of pay, and died in illness on 07/06/2020, based on the representation submitted by the Petitioner dated 22.02.2023 and 04.07.2025.."
2. The petitioner would submit that her father, namely, Chelladurai 2/6
was appointed as a Store Assistant as a daily wager on 01.03.1991 by the 4th respondent society. The petitioner's father was permanently appointed as Store Assistant on 11.09.1996. On 07.06.2020, due to his ill health, the petitioner's father had passed away. Thereafter, on 22.02.2023 the petitioner had submitted an application to the 4th respondent seeking appointment on compassionate grounds.

The petitioner would submit that on 03.03.2023, the 4th Respondent had conducted a joint Meeting and passed resolution no. 43, object no. 43, in favour of the petitioner's appointment on compassionate grounds. However, no further action has been taken in this regard. Therefore, once again, the petitioner had made a representation dated 04.07.2025 to respondents 1 to 4 seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. However, the said representation has not been considered by the respondents to date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Heard the counsels on either side.
5. Considering the fact that the 4th respondent had already passed a resolution as early as on 03.03.2023 in favour of the petitioner with respect to her compassionate appointment, however, to date the petitioner has not 3/6
been appointed on compassionate grounds, the Writ Petition is allowed. A direction is issued to the 4th respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 22.02.2023 and 04.07.2025 and pass orders in accordance with law keeping in mind the resolution passed by the 4th respondent, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
