ORDER

(1)Mr.V.Manoharan, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 ; Dr.C.E.Pratap, learned Government Advocate [Crl.Side] accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 4 to 6 ; and Mr.B.Anand, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the 7 th respondent.

(2)With the consent of the learned counsels on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. (3)The writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents 4 and 7 to grant permission for the petitioner's Auto bearing Registration No.TN-39CK-5143 for picking up the passengers from the entrance of Palladam Bus Stand by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2025. (4)The petitioner states that he was an acting Auto driver since 2013 and subsequent to the demise of the owner, he purchased an auto by pledging his wife's jewellery. The petitioner states that the new Auto is registered as TN39-CK-5143. While so, the petitioner submitted a representation on 10.05.

2025, to the respondents 1 to 6, to permit him to operate the passenger auto from the entrance of the Palladam Bus Stand. The 3 rd respondent, pursuant to the petitioner's representation, replied on 19.05.2025, stating that the 4 th respondent was the competent authority to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation. The petitioner therefore submitted a detailed representation on 16.06.2025, to the respondents 4 to 7 seeking permission to operate his auto bearing Regn.No.

Palladam Bus Stand. Since the respondents 4 to 7, did not respond to the petitioner's representation, the petitioner filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

(5)The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though a larger relief is sought for in the writ petition, it would suffice if a direction is issued to the th respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2025. (6)Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. (7)Under the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited prayer of the learned counsel for the petitioner, a direction is issued to the 4 th respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
