The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to consider his representation dated 18.04.2023 seeking transfer of patta in respect of his land situated in R.S.No.325/4, Old S.No.25, C.C.No.1135, Block No.11, bearing Door no.40, Whites Road, Royapettah, Chennai - 600 014.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents 1 to 4, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the above mentioned property originally belongs to one M.Mangal Chand and M.Suresh Kumar and the 2/5

same was purchased by the petitioner under registered sale deed dated 14.12.2019. However, in on-line records the subject property was wrongly mentioned as Government property. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 18.04.2023 to the second respondent seeking rectification of the error that had crept-in in the revenue records and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

5. In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.04.2024 and pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
