Respondents Prayer: The Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the sixth respondent to resubmit the family pension papers of the petitioner to the other respondents and sanction family pension and other benefits to the petitioner due to the death of her husband.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The case of the petitioner is that her husband Shanmugam was working as an Electrician in the office of the sixth respondent and he died on 15.12.2013. The petitioner has submitted an application enclosing all necessary documents seeking family pension in Form Nos.14 and 18 to the sixth respondent and the same was forwarded to the second respondent on 31.08.2015. However, the second respondent returned the papers to the sixth respondent on 24.11.2015 seeking some clarification and the same is pending. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 30.11.2015 to the first respondent through sixth respondent to pay family pension and other benefits. Since no order has been passed, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3. Heard S.Doraisamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for respondent.
4. This Court, considering the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and in the light of above facts, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.11.2015, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
