Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code praying to direct the respondents to conduct fresh investigation in Crime No.496/2011, find out (i) the real Registration Number of the said Maruthi 800 Car, its real owner, his address, (ii) seize the original records of the said Car, including its Registration Certificate, Insurance Police etc., (iii) the persons, who have committed the above offences of forgery, fraud etc., and their antecedents, (iv) whether the person viz. Venkatesh, S/o. Muniya Gounder, Thangapalayam, Anthiyur, who has driven the said Maruthi 800 Car and caused the accident, has valid "Driving Licence" and his connections with the persons committed the above offences and (v) file a fresh Charge Sheet against those real offenders and prosecute them in accordance with law.

ORDER

This petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to conduct fresh investigation in Crime No.496/2011. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the respondent Police completed the investigation in Crime No.496 of 2011 and filed final report and the same has been taken cognizance by Special Magistrate Court, Bhavani, in STC No.455 of 2014 and it is pending for trial.

3. Considering the submissions made, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructous and accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
