This Criminal Original Petition is filed to expedite the trial in C.C.No.119 of 2022. The petitioner herein is one of the accused in the above case. Due to inordinate delay of disposal of the case, he has been affected, therefore seeks for speedy disposal. 1/4

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent/Police submits that the prosecution is relying upon 21 witnesses and the case is posted for examination of L.W.1 to L.W.5 on 04.11.2024. He further submits that the respondent/Police will marshal the witnesses without fail on all the hearing dates and complete the examination of witnesses within a period of four months.

Recording the above undertaking given by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondent/Police to marshal the witnesses and complete the examination of witnesses within a period of four months from 04.11.2024. Thereafter, the trial Court shall complete the trial preferably within a period of two months.
