J U D G M E N T

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) We do not think we can interfere with the order of the learned Single Judge. The appellant who had participated for selection of Police Constable failed in the physical test, since he could not clear the required distance in the long jump.

2. It is the contention of the appellant that in the second jump, he cleared a longer distance, but that was declared to be foul. In the third jump also he could not make the required distance.

3. The learned Single Judge has found that since the petitioner did not reach the required distance in the proper jump his non-selection is justified.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the appellant would require us to revisit the decision of the selectors. We do not think we can do that, particularly when it involves selection in the physical fitness. Page No.: 3 of 5

5. The learned Single Judge has refused to interfere solely on this ground. We do not see any reason to interfere with the order of the writ Court. Therefore, the Writ Appeal fails and it is accordingly dismissed. No costs. (R.S.M.,J.)
