Prayer: Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection to the petitioner and his property. O R D E R

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking police protection for him and to his property.

2. The petitioner and the eighth respondent (R-8) are neighbouring land owners. Alleging that the eighth respondent (R-8) and his henchmen tried to grab the property of the petitioner, a complaint has been given to the respondent-police and the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking police protection to the petitioner and his property.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side),

appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2, states that the complaint given by the petitioner has been enquired into and both the parties have given an Undertaking Letter that they will not create any law and order issue and settle their dispute amicably between themselves.

4. From the present Criminal Original petition, this Court does not make out any serious cognisable offence, which requires providing police protection to the petitioner and his property.

5. The allegation made by the petitioner herein has been enquired and closed. Both the parties have given an Undertaking Letter on 08.09.2023.

6. In view of the above facts, nothing survives in the present Criminal original Petition. However, if there is any information or complaint received, which warrants providing protection to the petitioner and his property, the respondent-police shall act in accordance with law and discharge their duties.

7. Accordingly, the present Criminal Original petition stands dismissed.
